Pavement licence regime extended - Business and Planning Act 2020 (Pavement Licences) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2023

As reported recently, the Business and Planning Act 2020 (Pavement Licences) (Coronavirus) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 was introduced via the draft affirmative procedure.

On 10 August2023, the Regulations came into force in order to extend the pavement licensing regime for a further 12 months until 30 September 2024, a clearly expected but nevertheless welcome development for the hospitality industry.
